• ARG! ok, after many frustrating hours, I have finally downloaded my chosen theme, Ray of Light, purchased from Themeforest, onto WordPress. However, here is my problem.
When I previewed the theme, it had a feature on the homepage (forgive me, I do not know what it’s called) basically where it continually fades in and out 4-5 pictures across the top part of the screen. I thought this was pretty neat and something I wanted to use. Well, now that I’ve got the theme on wordpress, I see no hint of this feature whatso ever and can’t find it on my dashboard editing tools. Please help and advise!
And use small words. I’m not a computer language expert.
    Thanks

  • That is a professional theme , and you paid for support when you bought it. You should try with the theme designer.

Themeforest typically supplies themes with user documentation. That would be another good place to start.

    Hello Dawnolivo,

You’ll need to make sure you’re following the instructions on the “Ray Of Light Management” page in your WordPress admin. Note it requires you to have two pages, set one of the to the “Homepage” template, and then under Settings -> Reading, set that page as the front page.

Once you’ve done that, you can go back to “Ray Of Light Management” and enable the slider. Any posts then appear in the slider, with their featured image.

I hope that helps. If you have any further need for help, contact the theme’s author from their ThemeForest profile page.

Hi Japh, thank you for your answer. I had already done those things you said to do. So I don’t know what is going wrong. Thanks 🙂
