    Hi folks,

I have my own website & domain (hosted by Powweb). I'm probably about to ask really stupid questions, but honest I have searched and I cant find the answers!!!

I installed version 2.0.4 of Wordpress.

Problem #1: I want to be able to have a WYSIWYG editor - you know, where you hit the bold button and the text will be bold - like the Basic Editor is in the support documentation, but having clicked on and off all sorts of toggles in User Profile & Miscellaneous Options including toggles to do with the Visual Rich Text Editor but it makes no difference to the editing page.

Problem #2: for the life of me I cannot seem to upload a file or an image. I have the path set to wp-content/uploads and I have changed permissions on that folder to 777. As far as I know powweb allows php. i dont having a problem writing posts. But when I chose a jpg file from my computer it finds it ok, but it wont upload "failed to write to disk" or something similar.

    Can anyone help?

    thanks!

    That's never true!
    1. This is a 9 months old topic about WP 2.0.4. You are using WP 2.2.1. So, it is NOT the same.
    2. In the OP there are 2 [two] issues mentioned. Which is "the same"?
    3. Are you also hosted on Powweb?
