   Could not figure how to have only part of the article showing on the front page ...

   Read the manual for starters... (Look for the 'more' button)

   Yes sure :
   The whole "codex" part of the support is off.

   The page cannot be displayed
   There is a problem with the page you are trying to reach and it cannot be displayed.

   ROFLMAO

   Codex is working just fine. I've been in there all day.

   So anyways... suppose you're on the Write -> Write Post screen. You're looking at the post editor, right? See all those little buttons just above the editor? As you hover your mouse over each button, a little message pops up and tells you what the button does. You want the one that says something like "Split post with MORE tag".
