    Hi,

could somebody tell me, if i was to go abouts implementing a store locator based on this google article, does that require a separate MySQL database, or would you typically build it into the wordpress database.

Maybe a bit of a dumb question, but I’m just wondering for that sake of contracting the task out to someone who knows how to do it.

    Thanks,
    c

  • I would just add a table to wp database, and work with it. But it’s just my opinion, and it doesn’t have to be the best one. I just like to have it all in one place. 🙂

Put it in your wp database it’s way less of a hassle.

Thank you both very much! It sounds like if it’s in a separate ‘table’ then it’s sort of ‘sandboxed’ to a degree.

I’m pretty clueless with MySQL, so this is very helpful.

    Thanks again!
