    The last couple of times I’ve responded to support posts shortly after posting a plugin update, I get the bbpress “Slow down” message on the second support answer.

    Tad frustrating…. can this be tweaked for us fast typers a little pretty please ?

    Also just saw this recent post (last 6 days)

    Is it related ?

    You’re hitting the forum’s flood filter. I’ve modified your profile to circumvent it.

    Thanks Esmi – love the avatar!

    No problem. I used to get hit by the same filter all of the time. 🙂

    I don’t mind pushing all my users over to WordPress forums. I get the “consistency of user experience” thing, however this message is really slowing things down. I batch my support, spending an hour each morning to answer all the support questions posted. On a normal day I’m hitting 10-12 posts typically in rapid succession but always find myself waiting 60+ seconds between posts to avoid that throttle.

    I understand you can modify the throttle. If you can increase mine that would be great.

    WP Plugin Devs may want to consider an automated “review this guy” process or at least a “please increase my post rate” button on the plugin admin page. Especially if the desire is to make the WP site the primary means of initial communication for support issues.

    @charleston Software Associates: Fixed.

    Thanks esmi, that was FAST. You rock! 🙂

    No problem. I just happened to be passing. 🙂

    I agree with Charleston. I’ve only made a handful of forum posts tonight and I’m receiving the same note (“slow down, you move too fast”)

    Just so we’re clear, if you’re hitting that because you’re helping people, we’ll probably remove the block. If you’re just posting lots of questions… slow down 😉

    60 seconds between posts isn’t that much. It should take you at least 60 seconds to come up with a personal reply to someone anyway 😉 But it’s there because of spammers, and we won’t turn it off for everyone because of those darn dirty spammers.

    Please can you modify mine too?
