The recent update caused Was there a structural reason why the wrappers were removed? Can you share a short list of the CSS changes were made? Have to revert until I can review my site and the plugin changes.

CSS file itself was reordered so that the classes and tags were included in the same order as they are deployed on the front-end.

Next, the p tag was removed from around q and cite.
