help – redirect plugin going nuts!

we were using the plugin called joe hall’s welcome redirect.

didn’t like it.

Yesterday we moved our blog’s homepage to our site’s homepage using these tutorials that were suggested here:

http://wordpress.org/support/topic/how-to-make-my-blogs-homepage-as-my-sites-homepage

We deleted the redirect plugin however it’s STILL redirecting users from our homepage to this redirected page.

I’ve cleared the cookies on the browser multiple times.

is there a way to fix this?
