Book royalty calculator

    I have a client who publishs books for writers. He wants some way of letting authors calculate their royalties on book sales. Supposedly, he has these values on an Excel spreadsheet.

    Can this be done?

    Yes, with both PHP and/or Javascipt and many other methods. Mathematical calculations are the very basis of all programming languages.

    There are many code snippets out there, take each with a grain of salt…

    Basically, one creates a form where a customer enters certain criteria, submits it to the web app, which runs a calculation and returns the results. The results can be kept in the DB for further use.
