Plug-in idea I had (is it possible to?)

Hello WordPress community,

inspired by Battlelog (a website that automatically updates your player stats from the game Battlefield 3) I got an idea for my future Airsoft website.

Airsoft is a game much like paintball. With 2 teams going at each other with capture the flag style scenarios.

I’m exploring to see if its possible to create a sort of journal/logbook plug-in for the players at my club.

For those that want to use it, you can log-in on the website, go to the journal page and put in your won games, lost games, maybe even your “deaths” and “kills” etc. Then you’ll also have a profile page that displays your total won games and lost games and the rest of the info.

I’ve created some custom posts set-ups for clients but nothing coming close to an plug-in. So I realise this will be a monstrous project. Before I undertake this project I wanted to make sure its possible within wordpress.

Get a users id number, use that to verify the user and get that users airsoft stats. Present the user with an update form to add a report to his journal/logbook. And make the stats page count up the new report and display the updated stats.
