  • We find them there – on the Theme Viewer
    http://themes.wordpress.net
Or we design them for ourselves 🙂

or you can use one of the existing themes as starting point 😉

Am surprised no one told him to Google it up. Yet. 😀

Probably he knows all the ‘usual’ sites for wordpress themes. he needs something that nobody has ever discovered !!!

Good luck, rocklv . . . wordpress is a volunteer enterprise, not a commercial one. Interestingly, though, the DOT COM part of this enterprise (the part that competes with blogger) does have nicer and completely undownloadable templates.

If wordpress becomes the premier blogging tool, I would imagine that template-designers will be in high demand — and will be used for people who don’t want someone else’s theme. For those of us who don’t speak HTML in our sleep, the only real alternative is to learn the code, borrow, or pay up.

Of course, for those “who speak the language,” I’m not sure why they even bother with wordpress . . . except maybe so they can come on help forums in order to make snarky remarks to those who don’t.

Well, no. I’m pretty sure every WP.COM theme started out life in the wild. And most of ’em can be found at the previously mentioned theme site.

I’m not sure I understand your hostility on this topic, but whatever gets you through the day I suppose.

Ewww…. yah, all the themes on .com are available for .org installations too. Some of them (like rubric) need to be “retweaked” for the latest wp version, but so far I haven’t run across any theme on .com that’s not available for self-hosted wp.

And lest anyone go off…. I have a .com blog as well as a half dozen of my own self-hosted blogs, and around 20 client wp installs…. so I do think I know whereof I speak….
