Insert Gallery button not available

I am trying to utilize the features of the built in gallery available starting with 2.5. Per all the videos and articles i’ve read i need to add images to the ‘gallery’ and NOT the media library. However i am not seeing the ‘insert in gallery’ button necessary to use gallery. All i get is ‘insert to post’ I’m using the multi file uploader that came with the 3.3.2 install.
