P2 comments out content in new page template

Hi. I have been searching the internet and cannot find anything on this. I have a site at http://angelxray.com using the P2 theme. I made a new page template, but if I try to use it, all the content is commented out with <!– and –> tags. The sidebar I added (not the default sidebar, this is a new registered one) is there with whatever widgets I put into it.

Additional info – I went into header.php and commented out the get_sidebar() code so that the default sidebar does not appear in addition to my new one. However, putting that code back does not solve this problem.

Any insight into what is doing this would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.
