I am exremely new to this. I have a few feeds that i have imported but all they are showing is the title and one line below it. Is it the permissions on the feed or is it my setup.Would appreciate any help.

Probably the set up of the site sending the feed, just as you have the option to send an excerpt or the full feed from WP.
A lot of sites do that so that content can't be "borrowed" for a splog (not that your site is one).
