[Plugin: WordPress SEO by Yoast] Title of site being Duplicated!

    Hey guys,

    Having a strange unusual problem.

    In the titles and meta page, whenever I have my site title “My Home Robot” it seems to duplicate it. So my title ends up like “blah blah – My home Robot My Home Robot”

    Happens when I both type it in manually and use the %% tags.

    Naturally Google see it as keyword spamming so would love to be able to get this fixed.

    It can be seen on any product page at http://myhomerobot.com

    Any help appreciated!

    We’re seeing this same “duplicate title” problem as well, and either need to find a fix for this (what are we doing wrong) or uninstall WordPress SEO. There is no value in this plug in if it’s causing Google to see duplicate titles, and therefore punishing our sites.

    Hoping someone can answer this before I lose patience and pull the plug on WordPress SEO.

    Figured it out….well, how to make it stop anyhow.

    Go into the SEO settings >

    Titles & Metas >

    General >

    Title Settings >

    Check the box for Force rewrite titles. >

    Save <

    Should be fixed. For how long? We’ll find out.

    I had tried that “Forcing rewrite titles” before and that did not do anything as far as I can tell. Still seeing the duplicate titles.

    We’re still getting duplicate title and descriptions on sites using Yoast. Ready to pull the plug on this plug-in unless someone (preferably Yoast) has a solution to this. Thanks!

    Iv had this issue for a long time now… I dont like it. Someone please help soon. Anytime my content is even shared it ruins it.. 🙁
