• I installed wp through my webhost BlueHost cpanel. Whether I try the preset theme or install a new theme through wp, same result.

When I type my domain http://www.cathlenebollin.com (or click the link in the top left corner in my wp dashboard) I see a page displayed that I put there before somehow. (under construcion)

The sample page displays the preset theme. The link HOME does not. HOME does not show up on my page list.

I spent the whole day trying things, uninstalling/reinstalling wp, searching the forum.

Some things I tried put 2 HOME links on sample page. Both to the old design. (under construction)

This time after uninstalling wp through cpanel, I went into a file manager also through cpanel and deleted wp-admin and wp-files, and 2 databases through cpanel database.

I am at a total loss what to try to get it working. Should anyone go to my domain all they will get is a dead page. (under construction)

I have the newest version of wp, installed again a bit ago.
    Same results.

PLEASE, I absolutely MUST get this working.

Im not trying nor wanting to do any coding or cutsie stuff, just get it working, the basics.

  • It looks like its pulling an index.html. WordPress uses index.php. You could rename index.html or edit your .htaccess so it would have a line in it to pull the index.php first. By default, the server will get an index.html first before index.php. So if you have both files in there, it will pull up the index.html first.
