[Plugin: Shortcodes Ultimate] custom gallery columns

hi there,
my custom_gallery shortcode is giving my two columns, and i’d like to be able to have 4 or 5 possibly. How would I do this? Is editing custom css the way? Im confident enough to mess around with the code if you could point me in the right direction.
