[Plugin: Category Grid View Gallery] Not sure if this does what I am wanting it to

I have a photography site and I categorize my post by their type, Wedding, Auto, Newborn and so on. I have menu items that can take you to a category say “http://moregone.com/category/automotive/”

I do not see a way to add the short code at the link above because it is a dynamic collection of the category.

So am I understanding this plugin correctly that I would need to create a Page or Post to be home to my category so I could include the short code to make this work? Then on my menu I would have to change the link to my Post of the category type?
