  • Well, I won’t test it, sorry (never use wysiwyg) – but if it works, it will be a “saviour” for many Word addicted users 🙂

    sorry (never use wysiwyg)

    Yeah, neither do I.

I use WP as a CMS for business websites. It always makes me cringe when I revisit a new site after a few months and see the layout destroyed from somebody pasting in poorly formatted rich text. Figured it was time to do something about it…

search around al over for this one well not tested i wil surly throw the feed back

I have got this installed on my blog and it is working as advertised.

Purely in the “for what it’s worth category”, I’ve just heard that WP 2.1’s wysiwyg will have some similar functionality built-in. And spell checking!

And no, I don’t know when it’s coming out 😛

That IS good news HandySolo! Longing for that release .This has been a big issue, tried a lot diffrent soultions, and most of the people I supporting dont like PureText. Since editoral monkey is not working anymore – there is a big need for something like it.

The Plain Text Plugin breaks the editor altogether in 2.1. I was using version 0.2

“Here’s a plugin that allows you to paste Microsoft Word and rich text items into WP as plain text.”

I don’t get it: why is this useful? Any text editor allows this already. And since computers come with pre-bundled text editors, every computer user already knows how to do this.
