  • Same problem here and I did the same steps as listed above. This is on a child theme of twenty-eleven. Works fine on my other sites using different themes.

I have the same problem but I am using the Gazette theme and have all the latest plugin updates installed and I am experienced with WordPress. I cannot access the Yoast features on the post, the feature won’t expand to let me add seo related information (had no problems with this in the past). Are there settings in the Yoast setup that may prevent this feature from being displayed in the post?

Previous posts have not had the problem, current post is still in draft as I don’t want to publish until this is sorted.

    Thanks
    Michelle

It could be something to do with the browser, I have the same problem on IE and Chrome but it is fine when I use the ipad.

Having the same problem, using a genesis child theme, I can only see the top tabs, with no information under them on the “titles and meta” portion of the plugin. This happened on up to date versions of Chrome and Firefox, but not on Internet Explorer 9… there I was able to see and use them as normal. So it is certainly some sort of browser compatibility issue.

Having the same problem here. Disabled everything and double checked on several browsers. No luck.

Title displays “this is a Yoast Test Title” in search results even after checking Force rewrite titles. What Are Ideal settings to keep everything running smoothly?

@kaprate I think that might be a separate problem. This thread is for the folks who try to pull up the “Titles and Menus” admin page and have nothing showing up below the navigation menu.

As for the “this is a Yoast Test Title” issue. It sounds like a default title is being loaded. I would check two areas. First I would ensure that the page you are checking has a headlines (the text in the large box at the top of the page when you’re editing a page) and then I would check to ensure that on the Titles and Menus page the template that is being used isn’t written in as “this is a Yoast Test Title” – it should have more percentage signs etc.

My recommendation would be to uninstall Yoast and try reinstalling it?

Best of luck with you problem.

PS: Thats a guess – not a full solution. If the author comes back and says otherwise – go with what he says.

Again, I think you have the wrong thread Kaprate.

So after a little digging, I’ve noticed that on the Titles and Metas page I get a JS error caused by another plugin – “All in One Event Calendar”.

    Timestamp: 7/16/12 12:05:26 PM
    Error: allday.get(0) is undefined
    Source File: …/wp-content/plugins/all-in-one-event-calendar/app/view/admin/js/jquery.timespan.js?ver=1.7
    Line: 305

I don’t get this error on any other admin page except for the SEO title page.

When I looked at the code, the title and meta’s content is being loaded – but the div’s are just being hidden and the JS needed to display them is broken.

Right now I’m working on figuring out the issue with All in One Event Calendar and will see if that solves anything for me.

Here’s the solution – Download and install the RC2 version of the upcoming All-In-One-Event-Calendar plugin.

    http://then.ly/rc/1.8/

Then.ly has fixed the incompatibility bug in their next release – and running the beta of that plugin fixes the problem with Yoast.

I’m having the same issue. I’m using Atahualpa and no matter what I do I can not get the title to look the way I want.

I have the Post and Page titles to read as follows: %%SEOtitle%%|%%sitename%% However, the spaces and pipe are missing so it all runs together. It actually doesn’t matter what character you put in between the two it doesn’t show up.

The only way to get the spaces and pipes or other characters is to put it into the SEO Title along with the company name and force rewrite.

    Anyone has a fix?

MountainStream – I think thats a separate problem. You may way to consider creating a new topic.
