    Hi there,

I just installed wordpress 3.4.1 on my domain manually using the instructions provided by wordpress. and Wow. i cant load anything at all 60% of the time without having to refresh 4-5 times on the dot. Even if i wait 2-3 mins the damn thing STILL doesnt load. Never had this problem when i was using wordpress about a year back. Please help me, i can’t even use it, its really unusable, i cant make pages, posts, or anything…

  • Hello.

First try to reinstall it, manually or via the admin update dashboard.

Ps. Is that’s a new 3.4.1 installation or an update of a previous version?

I’m having the same problem. I know it’s got to be WP because it’s the only run running the newest version. I was going to upgrade the rest of them soon but now … I don’t think so!

I think I’m going hunting for how to downgrade to the previous version. This is crazy, I just spent nearly an hour spinning my wheels.

    Hey,
it’s a manual fresh install. I mean my domain was empty, i downloaded the latest version of wordpress and i installed it manually as instructed.

How should i reinstall it? will it make a difference….?

Oh, and just to make things better: my website is having a slow-load spasm as well now -_- jeez whats going on

@mouseclicks: It is impolite to interrupt another poster’s ongoing thread with a question of your own and it causes significant problems for the forum’s volunteers. Please post your own topic.

@adam_maher: Have you tried contacting your hosts? Perhaps they are experiencing problems.

    @adam_maher:

I’ve noticed exactly what you’ve described after fresh WP installations on specific hosting packages over the years.

Are you on a cheap shared (reseller) hosting plan? Because that’s exactly what can happen to an account on a shared server that’s already too bogged down in terms of CPU. I know for a fact many shared hosting companies throw their clients on stuffed up servers and they can barely process scripts such as WP.

Based on the fact that you said your website itself is experiencing slow load-times, I think this is the case.

esmi – I’m confused. What did I interrupt? It’s common practice that I know of to join someone’s thread who’s having the same problem as long as you don’t hijack the topic which I did not do.

@mouseclicks: That doesn’t really work with WordPress sites because people with similar symptoms usually don’t have the same problem when more questions are asked.

For example, his problem might be a web host who’s having temporary problems, while yours might be due to a plugin conflict.

Unless you’re using the same server, theme, plugins, etc, please start your own topic.

    Hi there,

I just spent 2 hours talking with my hosting company. they made me go through a series of checks, and the conclusion was that there’s no problem from their server. Which takes me right back to square one – having to wait 5-10 mins to see half of my wordpress dashboard sidebar to show up (if im lucky, otherwise I get nothing)

    So…any other ideas, guys?

Same problem. WP loading very slow or not all, happening since last night. I have 3.4.1 installed. I’ve contacted my Host. Told me Everything is working fine. I tried clearing my Cache and loading the site in IE and Chrome. WP loads very slow or not all.

Remainder of my website loads fine. Everything on same Host.

Esmi i think you’re being a bit over-sensitive, i dont mind others telling their problems on this thread as long as it resembles mine, and MonsterMawd has the same problem so i dont detect any impoliteness there.

Anyway, help is needed urgently…please guys, come on

i dont mind others telling their problems on this thread

But the forum volunteers who are the people trying to help you do mind. A thread like this can get out of control very quickly – leading to no one getting any help. Added to which, are you all using the same version of WordPress on the same physical server hosted by the same hosts with the same plugins, theme & configurations as the original poster? No? Then you should each post your own topics.

Please help us to help you..

Okay, i can elaborate a little…based on a bit more digging up ive done. MonsterMawd, you can try something similar and see if you get the same results.

Basically, i got a couple of friends to access my wordpress admin area. And you know what? they reported 0 problems, i told them to spend a good few minutes clicking links and spotting any slow-load. My friends, along with the representative of my host that i spent 2 hours with, said that they dont see any delay greater than the normal fluctuations in loading times……so its only me o.o

so I’m thinking that it has something to do with my connection. Which doesnt make any sense either, coz every other website under the sun works fine, i find it hard to believe that its only my one that will give problems. I can download at 4mb/s, play games, surf the net, all with no problems. I hope that helps………..
