Further to my last comment, it looks like WP Super Cache might also be contributing to the problem. I installed WP Super Cache and updated WordPress to the latest version (3.4.1) at about the same time. I have now discovered that turning Cache off allows Sidebar Login to work. If I turn Cache back on, Sidebar Login does not even display.

One of my users has also been unable to login. When I try to login using the sidebar login, it goes grey and then hangs. But it works when I use wp-login.php.

Details: Sidebar Login 2.4, WordPress 3.4.1

I am not using WP Super Cache as described above, although I am using W3 total Cache 0.9.2.4.

    Any ideas?

Has anybody already found a solution? Have the same problem. When try to log in, block goes gray. Doesn’t show any activity in refreshing the page or anything. If I try to log in via other route, the screen shows normal widget after log in. I also can use the links to log out and go to dashboard? Any help would be much appreciated!

Yes, it seems the plugin is not compatible with the latest WordPress version. Maybe an update would fix it. I just hope this will be available soon. I would hate to have to find another login widget plugin.

    Hi,
I would like to know if anyone has found a solution for the wordpress 3.5 incompatibility? Because of it I’m stuck with wp 3.4.2.

No, I changed to another plugin.

could you tell me the alternative plugin`s name, which worked for you?

Yes, I used Login with Ajax

    Download from here: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/login-with-ajax/
See it live here (where I used it): http://www.business-caddy.com/

thank you I will try it out
