Comments don’t like me.

I just recently switched from b2 to wordpress and I got the main page looking the way I want it to but when I try to configure the comments page, nothing happens. Basically I want it to look like the old b2 style. Comments and comment form with nothing else. Right now there’s a list of links, a search box, a calendar, etc. on there that just refuse to dissapear. I’ve read through every article on here (in the design section) and nothing has helped. If anyone knows a way for me to achieve this I’d really appreciate it.
