• Hi,
I am a bit new to wordpress and know little about web creation. I recently used a wordpress theme. After creating all my pages, I decided to name one of them ”home” to signify my homepage. If I should enter my default web address, everything works fine, but when I click on the home, it takes me to the page I just created. How do I configure this ”home” URL to exactly my default web address under the permalinks or elsewhere so that if visitors click on home, it will still take them to my default web address? Your help can make be difference I need.

    Thank you.

    1. First login to the WordPress Admin (Dashboard) & create a page for your posts.
    2. Go to: Settings –> Reading
    3. Then select this option: A static page (select below)
    4. Select the page your using for Home and the page you are using for Posts.

    Hi Carrie,
    Thanks for the reply.
But still that does not work since any page I may wish to be made static page is already using the permalink set my wordpress. Is there a way I can change the permalink to make it my default website address URL so that when the home button for the page I created is clicked, it will always show as my site URL without any slash?

    Thanks!
