[Plugin: Genesis Social Profiles Menu] How to get icons to right align in Nav Menu

I inserted the margin-right and margin left css into my style.css for the Genesis news theme and then applied the helper class for the social media menu icon but the alignment did not change. I am using Genesis News child theme.
