• I have read through the support forums, so I apologize if this has been asked before and I missed it.

I am attempting to install the Image Headlines Plugin by Coldforged. I have it all set up and the preview I get is all blocks rather than the funky beautiful font I want it to be.

I have no idea where I went wrong. What would cause the blocks rather than font? I have attempted to place the .ttf files on the server many times to no avail.

Another question. When a plugin comes with options to change and it has the factory settings. How does one go back to those settings?!? Say one did not *gasp* back them up?!?! I have tried to uninstall the plugin but that does not help, as when I re-install it, it goes back to what I had.

Thank you so much for any support 🙂

http://soodz.com/test is where you can see the blocks
it appears not to be caching?!?! Does that make sense?!?!

  • Howdie,

if the plugin doesn’t clear its options during deactivation, you have to delete them manually in your SQL table. This might be a bit tricky if you’re not used to it.

I also run the Image Headlines plugin but had to modify it quite a bit. The reason for the blocks in the images is probably a character set mismatch between the text you want to convert and the font you’re trying to use.

Which font did you used? For a first test it might be feasible to use a font you know it works on your local machine (like Arial on a Windows machine).

eeep I have no clue how to clear it on my sql table … that sounds scary!!

I am on a Mac, but I will try a more familiar font. Thanks.

Does it make sense that it is not caching? How would I make it cache?

Oddly I cannot seem to upload pictures in the write post area…. what am I missing?
