   Within the loop i have this code on my autthor page:

   <h2>More about <?php the_author('namefl'); ?>:</h2><br> <?php the_author_description(); ?>

   However no matter what I Change the idode to it allways returns the username (the default) please can someone help.

   The page is here http://www.protazoa.com/pyranha/?author=2

   Ps its only a development page on a development site at this stage

   What am i doing wrong, i would like it to return the first name last name
