I try to link to paypal using the code paypal has provided for this purpose but the Paypal image doesnt show up in the page I have created in my Wordpress blog. Instead the alternate text shows up, and depending on the browser I use even that doesn't show up in some cases.
Does anyone has any idea what is the problem and how I can fix that?
a link to the page youre attempting this on would be helpful, ya think?
Turn off the wysiwyg editor, then edit the page and delete and re-insert the paypal code. Save.
How can I turn off the WYSIWYG editor?
Ok. I figured it out how to disable WYSIWYG editor, and the problem seems to be solved to some extent. Thank you!
But there are two more problems here now:
1. The link to pay pal doesn't work correctly even though I just copy-pasted the code from Paypal. If you go to the page you will see that the link on the right culomn workd properly but the one on the page doesn't.
2. I have disabled WYSIWYG editor to fix this problem. Should I keep it that way forver (as long as I have that "Donate" Button in my Donation page, or I can turn it on now?
The link to the page:

If you really need the editor, you can re-enable it. Only time it could get problematic would be if you need to edit the page with the paypal button included.

I ran into the same problem. Using the plugin http://gh3.altervista.org/simple-paypal-donate-plugin/ solved the problem (I am still using the WYSIWYG editor).
You may want to change the alt title for the image in this plugin ... it gives a non-english description.
