[Plugin: Events Manager] Moving website – Can I tranfer all the events?

    I’m going to move all the 300+ events from the main website at the domain root to a new location on the same domain. Can the events be easily transferred to this new location? Maybe there’s a few files that can be simply copied over to do this.

    Reason for this change
    The main website has lots of useful plugins, but unfortunately it’s quite slow, so the plan is to have a separate WP site just to handle the event manager plugin.

    I know that the calendar widget will no longer work on the main site, but it’s the speed that’s currently killing the site. Upgrading hosting hasn’t helped, plus the site is using W3 total cache, so this is a last resort.

    hi,

    you’d have to import the wp_posts and wp_postmeta tables as well. If you import those, and all the wp_em_ tables, it should work fine.

    You may also want to resave your settings so that capabilities are correctly added (even if you copy over your wp_options table or contents).
