    Thanks for the suggestion.

    Tried. Didn’t work.

Same thing here, BUT, it is NOT empty. Have had my title and description in there a long time now.

Go to Google or Bing and search for “This is a Yoast Test Title” and you’ll see tons of seasoned sites that have the same problem.

This should never happen if everything is filled out!

    That is BAD SEO

The admin page (“Titles & Metas” tab) is completely blank.

Originally I had filled in the relevant fields. But now I don’t even see the fields.

Now you have me worried. I’m still on 1.2.2 dev version. Not sure if I should risk the upgrade

I have the same problem. I’m running a multisite network, and when I updated, only one of my sites shows this incorrect title, and it only shows on the front page, and only when I’m logged out.

    Upgrade, it fixes this.

I’m running 1.2.4. Is there a newer version? That’s the newest one on your site.

1.2.4 should have fixed it, is your site still showing those titles? That’d be weird. (1.2.5 is out btw)

Upgrade to 1.2.5 seems to have fixed it, thanks.

Joost, I love the plugin, but is there any way I can slim down its presence in the admin? It feels like it’s really putting itself everywhere, now. I don’t need/want it in the Publish meta box, and I don’t need a drop down filter in the posts and pages sections. I don’t see any way to turn these off.

    Great plugin, though, just sayin…

Yeah check the WordPress SEO API docs.

Im running 1.2.5 and I still get the “This is a Yoast Test Title” on the index page when I’m logged out. What can I do to fix this?

    Thanks!!

This is showing up for me to with 1.2.5. on a test laptop but not on my working desktop. It’s showing up right about the URL in a separate tab.

In IE it’s showing up to the right of the URL box in a tab.

Lovely, I just switched 20 sites over from All In One SEO thinking I could further optimized and utilized the testing features. Now I need to rethink this whole process.

Free Plugin but Adam Smith was correct – “There Is No Free Lunch.”

We’re now referred API Docs? Has the SEO lay person read that? Is there a fix or not? This needs to be fixed now or a great deal of work is history and I need to revert back.

This issue is marked Resolved WHY? It’s not resolved.

Confirmed this issue is still present in 1.2.5

Further, googling “this is a yoast test title” shows many hundreds, if not thousands of blogs affected, ironically, destroying their seo efforts.

I can confirm this is happening even today, after the update. I’m worried, as my entire site seems to be affected by this SEO hiccup.

What will fix this 100%, anything?
    I tried theme switching.
