I once again am having trouble uploading images to include in posts.I overwrote all my files today and the problem cleared up but somewhere along the way it went bad again.Whenever I try to upload a pic I get this error:
    ---------------
The uploaded file could not be moved to .
    ---------------

Any help fixing this problem would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks :)

Have a look at the permissions for your wp-content folder.

If you're using an FTP program, google around for how you can change the CHMOD value...

What should wp-content be set to?

    Thanks :)

EDITED* I had to change them to 777, instead of 755 lol..sometimes it varies for hosts.. =)

Hey Bhoney.. =) Chmod your wp-content folder 777, and if you have a uploads/ folder there too, Chmod him 777 also..and also, any folders within the uploads/ folder 777

    I hope this helps.

No, that didn't help. This feature seems to just stop working for no apparent reason.I start all over again and it works for a while and then stops agin. Not only that, but I have been trying to re-instll brianlatest_comments plugin and it won't show in the plugin area so I can activate it.It is in the plugins folder, but it just won't work.I am so close to deleting this darn blog... except it makes me money :(

Also to add onto this.. the brianslatestcomments.php file, was uploaded right into the plugins/ directory.. but, the file was empty..

I had her re-upload a new copy of it, and it's working now.. ;)

Try the ImageManager plugin from http://soderlind.no - or if you're feeling larkish, try this really nifty thing from (omigoddess I don't believe I said this....) Microsoft:

http://windowslivewriter.spaces.live.com/blog/cns!D85741BB5E0BE8AA!174.entry - the download's linked from there, and thanks to Handy Solo for sending me to it.

[Minor caveat on WindowsLiveWriter, other than beta status: map and graphics insertion, while about as easy as I've EVER run across, will NOT VALIDATE unless you access the html option in the editing window, and delete the oddities that MS seems to think are necessary. If you want detailed instructions, let me know.]

EDITED* She just "up-ed" her disk space now lmao!
    Disk space available 75.00 Megabytes

Let's see what happens haha.. =)

    ------------------------------------------
To update on this: For the time being, she's out of Disk Space.. =(

    Disk usage 75.00 Megabytes
    Disk space available -0.00 Megabytes

So, I couldn't add the rest of that ImageManager files/folders.. She'll either have to "up" her own Disk Space, or get more from the host..

This is happening to me, too: I'm getting error messages similar to the one posted above.

Warning: imagecreatefromjpeg() [function.imagecreatefromjpeg]: '/home/sista25/public_html/wp-content/uploads/1231.jpg' is not a valid JPEG file in /home/sista25/public_html/wp-admin/admin-functions.php on line 724

Warning: imageantialias(): supplied argument is not a valid Image resource in /home/sista25/public_html/wp-admin/admin-functions.php on line 731

Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /home/sista25/public_html/wp-admin/admin-functions.php:724) in /home/sista25/public_html/wp-includes/pluggable-functions.php on line 272

I have plenty of disk space. It's not entirely random -- some image files work fine, but certain ones don't.

For the ones that won't work, I checked the images on the server. The actual uploaded image is there and can be viewed, but the thumbnail is black.

    Chmod these directories 777:
/wp-content/uploads/08/ (Whatever date is there..or what not).. All of those, the wp-content, the uploads, whatever folders are inside the uploads folder too..

    Like in this example here:
    http://www.vindictivebastard.net/images2/chmod-777.gif

Select each folder, then CHMOD 777 to it. =) ;)

    I hope this helps.

I just for this error for the first time. I've uploaded a million files for the past few months - and no my account is not full - and it was strange to see this happen all of a sudden.

The file in question is a .tif. I converted it to a .jpg and it uploaded fine. Hmm.
