Unfortunately this error doesn’t say anything. Much more helpful error message will be generated in Firebug (Firefox) or in Chrome.

I have essentially the same problem. The pages in html display as normal but switching to Visual the buttons do not display nor does the content – but if you Click and mouse over the content it is there – less the buttons.

In Firefox, Firebug advises a 404 error as it cannot find the file en.js at:
    /wp-includes/js/tinymce/langs/en.js?ver=349-20805
    and
    /wp-includes/js/tinymce/themes/advanced/langs/en.js?ver=349-20805

This happens in Firefox, Chrome, Safari and Opera. Now for the weird bit, Explorer is OK.
    Any help/advice would be appreciated.

Hmm, it shouldn’t try to load /wp-includes/js/tinymce/langs/en.js. Are there any other JS errors at all? By default all translated strings are loaded beforehand from /wp-includes/js/tinymce/langs/wp-langs-en.js.

No other errors show up in Firebug – just those two in Admin

In loading the page publicly there are no errors.

Was a fix ever found for this? I did copy the wp-langs-en.js to the two listed locations as suggested in another thread but the issue persists. And I did try renaming them to en.js.

Just wanted to post that I found the solution to this problem here:

    http://wordpress.org/support/topic/plugin-ultimate-tinymce-visual-tab-blank-in-editor?replies=14

By just removing that styles button the interface showed up again. Haven’t tested all the features but it’s there now.
