Warning error when creating new subdomain site.

    Hello. Thanks to anyone who can help me with this problem. Yes I am a newbie.

    Warning: filemtime() [function.filemtime]: stat failed for /layout.css in /home/getadul5/public_html/wp-content/themes/thesis_184/lib/classes/head.php on line 207

    I contact my host and was told that “This error is due to a problem with your WordPress files. It looks like there is either an issue in the layout.css file, or an issue in the head.php file. We do not support web development issues or issues with the WordPress software. You will need to contact a WordPress developer and have them help you resolve this issue”

    Try a different theme.

    The theme on your main site will impact the functionality of the network code.

    My current theme is Thesis 1.84. How can I fix the problem and continue to use thesis?

    Perhaps a next step would be to establish if the problem is being caused by the theme alone, or the theme in combination with some plug-in? To do that, disable all plugins and see if the problem goes away. If it does, enabling the plugins one at a time will hopefully allow you to determine which plugin is involved.

    I had the same issue and doing the below changes has worked for me.

    1. Go to your t.h.e.s.i.s folder “custom”
    2. Set the permissions of your new layout.css file to 666 (filezilla or smart f.t.p.).
    3. Make sure your /cache folder’s permissions are set to 775.

    Then save your theme options via WordPress Dashboard. You are done.
