   I've integrated a little application (for users to sign up for my weekly poker games) on my WP site (johnstewart.com).

   It uses the display name to list users signed up in a game. The problem is that unless users have gone to the trouble to enter their first/last names and update the display name, it only shows username... which isn't guaranteed to be anything recognizable to other players.

   For now, I'm just manually going in and doing this.

   However, it would be nice if wp-register.php (or some plugin) would ask for all of this information at account creation time.

   I've been looking around for such a beast before I try to write one. Anyone know of an easy way to get users to enter more detail whilst signing up (other than just email/login name).

   to add user data to your registration pages or to your user profile pages you can try the cimy extra fields plugin.

   make ONE post about your plugin in the Plugins forum and STOP posting the same 1oo times...
