I activated my website and I want to turn it off..plz help

    Change the url in admin settings.

    thats terrible advice from loughcorrib. DON’T change the URL in settings – if you change it you won’t be able to continue working on the site because you won’t be abl eto get to it.

    Instead install a plugin to make the site only available to logged on users. I use Justin Tadlock’s members plugin for its role management features, but when working on a site per-launch I also enable the ‘private site’ feature which redirects users who are not logged in to the login page.

    there are several other plugins that make a site private as wll which may suit you better.

    There are two settings available !!
    or you can disallow with htaccess
