When writing the post, there is an option above the text field. Its called page break, the icon is two boxes with a dashed line through…
It will insert a line in your post, above the line will insert on the index page. The rest will be displayed wen you view the post…
Hope this helps
Experiment with the
<!–more–>
tag
and the:
<!–nextpage–>
tags.
Each provide you with a way to do what you want. More will provide you with one break in your text. NextPage will allow any number of breaks. BTW, the next Page tag, in my experience, doesn’t work to move to the subsequent pages until the post is published.
Thank you.
page break is working for me. But I cant understand how to use <!–more–> tag and the <!–nextpage–> tage.
Can you explain it further?
What you call “page break” – is inserting automatically the <!--more-->
tag 🙂
The other tag should be inserted as you see it in the code of your posts – wherever you want to have a new page started.
Thanks – page break works great. I didn’t see the editing icons because I have a Mac and use Safari. They show up in Firefox on the Mac (though Safari seems to do better when I want to hand edit html code). Sometimes I get unexpected results when I’ve used the Firefox html editor.
