Trying to run Contact Form 7. Somewhere I must be able to signify the e-mail address to which I want messages sent, from the contact form. I am setting this up on local host but imagine that somewhere in set-up I should be able to assign that address, for example, to info@myurl.com. It may be by use of a tag (??) or some other piece of code or a contact form 7 parameter field.

thanks to anyone who can assist.

    Regards,

    john

You can directly put the email address to the To: field in Mail section.

    Hi Takayuki, thank you.

Where do I find the MAIL section?

    Regards,

    John.

    Hi Takayuki. Thank you again.

I am begining to feel as stupid as I must seem. The Form section where?

I’ve looked wherever I can think of looking and can’t find a To: field, a Mail or a Form section. Sorry to keep bothering you like this but I am clearly looking in the wrong places and I don’t see what is obvious to you. For example, are we talking about a WP setting or a contact form-7 setting or what, and where is it?

    Regards,

    John.

You can insert the email address by:

    1. Click Contact at the left sidebar.
    2. Click on the title Contact form 1.
    3. You will be able to find the MAIL section now.
    4. Put the email address at To: field.

    Hope it help.

    Thank you bluelleo.

    Got it!

    Here’s the long answer:

    Go to Dashboard
    Select ‘Plugins’, ‘installed Plugins’
Select ‘Settings’ on the Contact Form 7 entry (I was missing this step)
This takes you to a screen titled ‘Contact Form 7’
with an entry ‘Contact form 1’ on it
Click on the title ‘Contact Form 1’ (sub titled “edit contact form 1”)
This takes you to another screen titled ‘Contact Form 7’
You will see a block titled ‘Contact Form 1’ (the contact form name)
beneath that you will see a block ‘Form’
beneath that a block ‘Mail’ (scroll down to reach ‘Mail’)
edit the “‘To’ field” in the ‘Mail’ block.

    Thanks everyone.
