    Hello Joost,

I am preparing a site for handing over to the client, which includes getting rid of everything in the admin that is not strictly needed.

In order to remove the toolbar I installed wp-toolbar-removal.
Which works, only thing is that the SEO items from the toolbar won’t go away. See screenshot:

my question is if I can make that go away.

Apart from that I would like to have more control of what parts of the SEO plugin are being shown to users with certain roles. Most things shown here, like “zoekterm onderzoek, Adwords External, Google insights, SEO book, Social. XML sitemaps, RSS, Delete Cache are not needed for a writer adding an ocasional post to the site, maybe even confusing.
Maybe it is an idea for an upcoming version to give the admin control over this?

    Thank you

    OK, problem solved.
Removing those custom “nodes” from the toolbar, like Yoast SEO, WP-cache etc. turns out to be quite difficult since the admin-bar changed to toolbar.

So I removed Yoast WordPress SEO, which at the same time solved the problem that it cluttered the rest of the admin area with things a user may never need.

    Cheers
