• Hey, Andy.

I noticed that CL (free version) hasn’t been working on my site for the last several posts. I went to the help forums on the CommentLuv site and figured it might be an issue with W3 Total Cache. I removed the CL .js script from minify and the dropdown menu re-appeared, but the links to peoples’ posts are not there. The little heart icon appears, but that’s it.

I also checked that the WYSIWYG text editor is turned off for comments, something that came up, oh, over a year ago. I’ve updated a few plugins, though I can’t specifically remember which ones. Is there anything else you can think of that I’m missing?

Also, I am unable to find the screen on the CommentLuv site for checking the status of my RSS feed. It’s coming through to other places (Google Reader, Google Currents, Blogger, etc.) so I know it’s working. Yet when I try to leave a comment on someone else’s blog, I often get “No Posts Found”. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t, even when the comments before and after mine are posted within minutes and correctly display the links.

How can I find my setup on CL and make sure it’s got my Feedburner feed? Or if it has FB, then switch it to my WP feed to avoid any communication errors?

Geezo, I just noticed that I didn’t have the latest version of CL. Updated to 2.90.9.9 and it broke my site. Have deactivated it. Going to go read some of the other posts here to see if there’s a solution.

please can you explain what you mean by ‘broke my site’ ?

I see you’re using w3 total cache, you might want to temporarily deactivate that while you’re installing a new plugin until you get the plugin working as w3 will be using old objects and files from before the plugin was installed.

if you can submit a support ticket with a description of the problem you had then I can probably help (if you have the plugin still on your site)

    Added commentluv tag.

Thank you, thank you, thank you, Andy Bailey!

I’m brand new to all of this and was starting to lose my marbles trying to figure it all out. Your suggestion worked! Thanks again.

    Zoe 🙂
