deleting the "wordpress" in the URL?

Hi,

I just started with wordpress so I am absolutely new here. I just installed wordpress and it’s working, but I would like to change the URL in order to remove the word “/wordpress” from it.
Right now I have :http://www.MyDomain.org/Festival/wordpress/wp-admin/

But I would like to have http://www.MyDomain.org/Festival/Berlinda/wp-admin/

It occurred to me that I could just rename the folder in my server, so I changed the name of the folder from wordpress to Berlinda, with the result that I no longer could access my wordpress anymore.

After I deleted and re-installed the whole thing (now it’s working again), I would like to know if there’s a better way to change the URL, in order to make it look more professional (without the /wordpress ?)
