[Plugin: WPtouch] Conflict with ShoutEm? WP Touch Stopped Working

    I’ve had WP Touch installed for well over a year. I’m a big fan of the product.

    Recently, it just stopped working. When I visit my mobile site and click the link for the blog, it goes to the regular blog instead of the mobile (WP Touch) version.

    The only change I’ve made recently is to install the ShoutEm plugin, which is a tool to allow you to create mobile apps.

    Is there a possible conflict with ShoutEm? Or, is there something else that’s gone wrong?

    Jamie, we have no reported conflicts with ShoutEm but that doesn’t mean one doesn’t exist. Unfortunately, the free version of WPtouch does not offer any functionality to manage conflicting plugins (WPtouch Pro offers several methods). Perhaps you might search for an alternative to ShoutEm that works will with your WordPress configuration.

    Thanks for the follow-up. I appreciate it.

    I’ve been a big fan of WP Touch for a long time and even reference it in my book, “Go Mobile.” (Shameless plug alert –> Available at fine bookstores everywhere.)

    I’ll upgrade to the Pro version. It’s the least I can do considering the great plug in you’ve created.

    I have found WPtouch to integrate best with well respected and widely used plugins (as most well used ones do) and themes (which most well used ones do) without issue, hence it is one…

    Jamie, when you do purchase WPtouch Pro, be sure to stop in to the customer support forums should you find that you need assistance setting up the plugin to be compatible with your particular WordPress configuration. We’re here to help.
