   I'm using WordPress for several of my clients as a content management system -- it's great! I build the site and then turn it over so the client can manage the site's content, I love it.

   None of my clients is a blogger; the Pages are most of what they'll be editing. Is it possible to make a change to the administrative pages so that when a client chooses "write" or "manage," the "Pages" panel is the one that pops up first?

   Can anybody explain what file I'd have to hack, and what the hack should be? Or, alternatively, is there a plugin that already does this or something similar, for those of us who ar using WordPress more as a CMS than a blog tool?

   Hi Sara-

   A quick fix would be to change the "Manage" menu link. To do that, edit the file at wp-admin/menu.php. On line 16, you'll see the code

   $menu[10] = array(__('Manage'), 'edit_posts', 'edit.php');

   Change edit.php to edit-pages.php. I'm not sure if this is the most effective solution, but it worked for me. Good luck!
