[Plugin: WordPress SEO by Yoast] Wrong og:description on home page with Woothemes

The og:description on my home page is pulling from the latest post instead of using the one I set in the social settings. Looking at the code it looks like because I have WordPress set to show latest posts on the home page it’s pulling the description from the latest post. I’m using a Wootheme which requires me to us the latest post setting in WordPress to use their home page features. Is there a way to force this plugin to use the og:description I specified without modifying the code?
