Hi mtantow,
The first Gist is what you should be using and I’m not quite sure why it’s not working. Can you post your full functions.php to Gist or Pastebin so I can see what you’ve got?
Thanks,
Jonah
Thanks, Jonah for coming back on this. The functions.php file is just a file that includes another file that includes about 20 other files. Can you indicate what you’re looking for, so I can try to extract that.
Sure, I just want to see the file where you’ve placed the code and make sure there’s nothing off with it.
Thanks,
Jonah
Hi Jonah, I have been watching Google Webmaster for a while. The initial problem seems to be fixed, however there is a similar 404 error now with tags.
These 404 errors seem to be fixed:
events/category/usa/1793-02/URL
events/category/usa/1792-11/URL
However now these appear and cause a 404:
events/tag/Government/
events/tag/mobilecloud/
I assume they come from the Events plugin.
And another type of 404s where I am not sure if they are caused by the Events plugin:
?tribe_organizer=ubm-techweb-3/feed/
?tribe_organizer=keynote/feed/
Thanks for your help,
Martin
Hi there Martin. Thanks for the follow-up here; I’m not sure Jonah saw this, so I’ve passed it his way directly and asked him to take another look. Stay tuned and thanks for your patience so far.
Hey Martin, can you email us WP admin access so we can take a look at some things? Email to pro [at] tri [dot] be
Thanks,
Jonah
Hi Martin,
I’m not sure myself why this is happening but am checking with one of the other devs to see what we can find. I’ll post back here when I know more.
Cheers,
Jonah
Thanks, Jonah. Here is an image with the recent 404 errors from Google Webmaster. Just for your reference.

Hi Jonah, Checking if there is any update?
Martin
Hi Martin. I just sent you an email on this; wanted to follow-up here confirming as much in case you checked here first. Thanks again for your patience.
Hi Martin,
Just to confirm because I don’t see it mentioned here and I don’t remember if we asked you this already, but what version of the plugin are you running?
– Jonah
Hey Martin,
We’re still investigating this. It appears that it could be a conflict with the tag cloud plugin you are using where either our plugin is inadvertently appending /events/ to the URL’s of the tags or the tag cloud is not getting URL’s properly.
What plugin are you using for the tag cloud?
Thanks,
Jonah
Hi Jonah, As far as I know I’m not using any plugin for the tag cloud. Just the default WP one. FYI: I’ve also upgraded to 2.0.8
