• Hi.

    WordPress 2.0.3 has got a small problem when posting. In Firefox after publishing a post you will get a download popup asking whether you want to download post.php. In IE it just redirects you to a “this page cannot be found” error.

    The post is published, but it sometimes confuses my editors/authors on MediaHug.com, causing them to double-post.

  • Do you have the 2.0.3 tuneup plugin activated?

    The tuneup plugin doesn’t fix it. :S

    Go to Options -> Writing.

    How many (and what) do you have listed for “Update Services”?

    What happens if you remove some of them? (the default pingomatic one, for example)

    I actually had 56 ping services.

    I’ve removed them and the problem doesn’t occur any more.

    Thanks for the heads-up.

    I have no update services – and after a minute or so wait after hitting publish I still get a download prompt for post.php.

    Only publishing or saving a post takes time. Other parts of the admin are a lot faster.

    Any ideas? (2.0.7 on yahoo hosting)
