I have been using Easy Adsense on a number of my Adsense web sites.

I upgraded to the Pro version, and up to now have not noticed any problems with it.

I just installed it on 2 new sites, and today I got the alert to upgrade to version 5.13.

After the upgrade, it reverted to BACK the LITE version, and displayed the ads on the settings page to upgrade to the Pro version.

I re-installed a backup 5.12 version manually, and each time when I did the automatic upgrade, it converted to the Lite version.

Now I manually uploaded the 5.12 Pro version, and I will just ignore the update notices.

Is the Pro version being “phased out”???

I went to the web site, and I found it very confusing. The “Support” page only has ways for customers to show THEIR support, by buying the author’s other products or making donations. I could not find anywhere to contact the author to report bugs or problems.

The link to the FAQ was a dead link. I found the paid support links… but although I think the $4.95 for the Pro version is more then reasonable, and the $.95 per question is cheap – I still do not think I should have to pay $.95 to alert the author to a problem with the latest update.

When I searched the WP Support forums, I found it even more disturbing to find several threads complaining about default ads diverting clicks to the authors affiliate accounts.

While I personally found the explanations on the settings page to be pretty clear about pasting your own ad code, and changing the donations to “0” – it has now made me concerned about whether the author’s links are still being inserted in spite of my changing the settings.

It is a good plugin – but this problem should definitely be resolved, and the settings should be more clearly explained. Any “default” ad code should not be re-entered once the user has updated his ad codes.

I do not think this has been addressed or resolved sufficiently to satisfy those who are complaining about this problem.
