[Top 10] Suggestion

I just installed version 1.8.1 of the Top 10 plugin. I like it but I would really like an additional feature… Could the plug set a category for the top X posts? Maybe name the category “top-10” or, let it be dynamic and the user choose among existing categories.
The reason is that you could then have a dynamic page to display more content about each post in that category.
Here is an example from my website http://raywaldo.com/topic/important/ The problem is that I have to manually set those posts in my “Top Posts” category.
It would be great if the plug-in would auto set the top posts on a regular (daily?) event. I suspect that the difficult part would be to DELETE the category from the posts that stopped making the list.
