• Hi,
I encounter the problem of error 500 when I tried to save the menu after added a new item.

I understand this is an old issue and several methods on how to resolve it was tried but still unable to save the menu.

So, I created a topic in this section is because I want to suggest, but not ask for help.

I suggest wordpress developer to look for any possibility to make the custom menu to how the widget work? When we add the new widget, it automatically save when we dragged the item into the widget section. I think menu also use the similar method and may be this can resolve the irritated error 500 problem ?

When saving menu, there are more than 500 items running in my mysql although I’ve only not more than 15 items in my menu, and half of them are custom link.

Hope wordpress developer can consider my suggestion, but if you’d already tried, just ignore my suggestion.

Thank you and have a productive day.

    Regards,

Because it’s not easy to fix 🙂

The developers do take it seriously, but unless you know the solution and can code it, you have to learn to wait on them to come to some divine inspiration where they can see the path and solution and implementation.

You’re asking people to do something that hasn’t been done before. That rarely happens on a schedule.

I see, so the only solution for me I think is getting a powerful server to save the menu, then reimport into my current server.

At the moment I can only wait the wordpress developer fix it. Hope they got inspired suddenly and fix it soon. 🙂

    Or use a smaller menu.

i have 24 items inside and i wanted to add 1 or 2 more, but error 500.

only 6 out of 24 are page item while the rest 18 are custom link, unlike others save almost 1-200 links.

at the moment, i will just keep my current menu items until new solution has been set.

same here i removed 3 menus items and tried to add a new one. Error 500

What to do? my menus looks like shit!
