• I had a problem when I installed 2.0.2 – when sending an image from the image uploader to the editor with “use original” it sent the thumbnail in IE. Firefox worked properly and sent the original. I managed to find a fix here that got it to work in IE.

I have just done a new install of 2.0.4 and the same problem still exists – when viewing the HTML in the editor is has height=”96″ in IE. Still works properly in FF. In this case the user is on a Mac and uses Netscape so *hopefully* it is going to work for her there.

I would like to upgrade the 2.0.2 install – but unfortunately I did not write down what I changed (it was in the wp-admin\inline-uploading.php file) and I have been searching and searching the forum and I cannot find the original post that has the solution. That user does use IE and does upload images so I cannot upgrade her unless I can get the full size images working properly in IE.

I have seen several posts about this problem, but as others have noted, there doesn’t seem to be a definitive solution. I think the one I found before had to do with just not sending a height. Any ideas???

    Thanks,
    Joan

  • could give this plugin a shot

which allows you to edit the thumbnail height. I’ve hacked this and the original send to editor functions to fix problems in IE and add functions to put in the caption. You’re right, there are problems with IE.

Not sure if this is identical to your troubles, but you can tell me if this discussion I had with myself sheds any light: http://wordpress.org/support/topic/73361

I tried this solution that you suggested: http://wordpress.org/support/topic/69325
but it just resulted in a javascript error which could be because the problem is not exactly the same. In my case (2.0.2 and 2.0.4) the quotes are going in the right place, it is just that height=”96″ is going in at all.

The plugin looks a bit to complicated for the non-technical users that I have – they are not likely to know the dimensions of their images.

I do have an original 2.0.2 inline-uploading.php – I will try comparing it with the edited one to see if I can figure out what I did the first time to make it work.
