Fatal error: Call to undefined function: wp_get_current_user() in /home/httpd/vhosts/peterfilias.com/httpdocs/wordpress/wp-includes/capabilities.php on line 312

I am trying to upgrade to WordPress 2.0.4 and have run into this problem.

I’ve gone as far as blowing away everything but my themes and plugins. Could it be that my K2 theme is trying to hit something that isn’t there anymore? If so, how do I get back to the default theme for upgrade purposes?

Bah. It works. I wasn’t logged in with Opera, so it couldn’t grab my authorization. I tried the upgrade in Firefox, which must’ve had my login cookie. All is well. You can close this topic.

I successfully upgraded sevearal K2 blogs, so it’s not a problem with the theme. Possibly a plugin is giving you trouble?

edit*** Great! You got it going.

Hi, I’m getting this same error.
It all started suddenly and I hadn’t even tried to do anything to my version of wordpress. One day I went to my site and there were big sql errors and when I tried to login i got this same error. I did some googling and found a bunch of people saying to run the upgrade.php thing so I did that and the sql errors on my site went away but I still cant log in. Still getting this error. suggestions?
