[Theme: iFeature] Like the theme, but the images are unoptimised

I’d just like to say that I love the iFeature Free theme & thanks, but when I run Google Pagespeed it recommends lossless compression of the theme images (the social network icons, noise background layer etc). Sure enough, I’ve been able to reduce their file sizes significantly using Photoshop Elements (Save for Web option) with little or no visible difference. However, whenever you release an update the images revert back to the unoptimised versions.

I can provide the lossless compressed images if you like, but could I ask that you push optimised images out in a future update?
